About the role
You make the hundredth computer as trustworthy as the first, translating engineering intent into repeatable assembly, test and quality. False passes and false failures are the two ways a test program lies to you, and knowing your measurement system well enough to catch both is the job.
The work
Develop manufacturing tests, traceability, secure provisioning and acceptance criteria with production partners. Own reliability testing, failure analysis and corrective actions. Coordinate applicable electrical safety and EMC validation with accredited specialists for each launch market.
What good looks like
In your first 90 days, establish pilot acceptance tests and a closed-loop process linking field failures to design or process changes.
Evidence we look for
Bring experience with electronics manufacturing, test engineering or reliability. Understand measurement-system quality, false passes, false failures and supplier accountability.
What we need to see
- Electronics manufacturing, test engineering, or reliability experience
- You understand measurement-system quality, and treat false passes and false failures as distinct problems
- You hold suppliers accountable with data rather than with escalation
- You design tests that catch the failures that actually occur
Nice to have
- Test program development for a contract manufacturer
- Statistical process control
- Reliability engineering: HALT, HASS, or life testing
The exercise
Investigate a batch that passes factory tests but fails after customer setup, and design a test that catches the actual defect.
Where and how we work
In the office together five days a week, in any of these cities. Remote-friendly around your family, arranged one person at a time.
