About the role
You help a person's agent travel with them across phones and small devices, connecting local capability to the wider personal system. Judgement about storage, power and permissions matters more here than any single technical skill, because the range of devices people actually own is enormous.
The work
Build Android or embedded-edge applications, secure pairing and efficient local processing. Manage intermittent connections, battery use and platform background restrictions. Keep sensitive data and delegated authority bounded when a device is lost or replaced.
What good looks like
In your first 90 days, deliver a mobile-to-personal-computer workflow that works through disconnection and subsequent permission revocation.
Evidence we look for
Bring Android, embedded or mobile systems experience. Show practical judgment about storage, power, permissions and the range of devices users own.
What we need to see
- Android, embedded, or mobile systems experience with shipped work
- Practical judgement about storage, power, permissions and device diversity
- You design for the low end of the range rather than the flagship
- You handle intermittent connectivity as normal

- Android internals or custom ROM work
- Embedded Linux or RTOS
- On-device inference on mobile

Plan a workflow where the phone goes offline after approving a task and the remote computer later reports an uncertain outcome.
